Easy Steps to Make a PictureBook

 

 

To Make PictureBooks at Home:

 

1. Download the latest version of our free My Photo Books Software (Mac or PC). Install the software and run.

 

2. First step is to choose the type of book you want to make: PictureBooks, PictureBooks Pro or YearBooks.

 

3. Select a Book Type (Size and Binding). Please see our product list to know which size and type of book you want to make.

 

4. Start by adding your photos to the Book Pictures Section on the lower area portion of the software.

 

5. Choose the Page Layout for each page. You can easily modify or make your own layouts by adding photo boxes and text boxes anywhere on the page.

 

6. You can add Page Backgrounds to each page. You can choose from the included background images or you can use any jpeg image as a background for your pages. Just add any image to your Book Pictures and drop them into the background area of the page. It's very flexible! Add Picture Borders to each photo frame to dress up your pages.

 

7.  Minimum number of pages is 20. For Small, the maximum number of pages is 50 (25 sheets). For Medium, it's 150 pages (75 sheets). For Large and Extra Large, the maximum number of pages is 200 (100 sheets).

 

8. Make sure to go over your book once more to check for any typos. When done, just select "Send to PictureBooks" on the toolbar of the software. This will start the preparation of your book. The software will then ask if you want to "Place order online now" or "I prefer to bring the files with me to the store."

 

Should you choose to place order online, the software will upload the file and open a web based shopping cart for your order. Just register or log-in to the site to process your order online.

 

If you choose to bring the file to us, it will create a special file with the extension ".dgl" that you should move to a CD or flash disk and bring it to any of our retail outlets.

 

9.  You can also "Share Online," the software will create an online version of your book which you can email to your friends and family for free. The book will be available for viewing for 60 days.

 

10. We will confirm all online orders via email or phone, Orders take about 7 to 10 working days for printing and delivery. We give discounts for orders of 2 or more copies of the same book.
